The campaign received an overwhelmingly positive response from supporters all across the nation. Amidst the usual pride and good-natured banter of rivalry, the campaign united supporters from each club as they rejoiced in awe at what they unanimously deemed to be the best advertising/marketing in the football scene. The mixed reality films amassed a staggering 4 million-plus views and hundreds of thousands of engagements, all organic too!
With helicopters trailing smoke, skyscraper-sized lockers, colossal balls, scarves, and banners, this campaign spared no extravagance, crafting one of the most epic online marketing campaigns. Not only did it exhilarate online fans, but it also attracted an entirely new audience to Women's Super League football, demonstrating that they too can compete creatively with the much larger and more heavily endorsed football accounts and pages represented online.
