D-UP Japan clean up in The Best Cosmetics Awards!

The Berry teamed up with their friends at AOI Global in Japan to create a slick and exciting CGI cosmetics film. The purpose was to celebrate their proudly obtained 186 cosmetic awards, all while showcasing the products in an elegant fashion.

The Berry team worked closely with AOI and D-UP to accurately showcase their award-winning products; Perfect Extension Mascara and Silky Liquid Eyeliner.

Maintaining the authenticity of each product’s iconic colors was a priority, this was carefully considered all whilst striking a balance to create a glamorous and almost ethereal aesthetic that complemented the products in every scene.

The Berry team made sure to keep the backgrounds interesting but equally minimal as not to distract from the CGI products, this was achieved by adding elements such as lens flares, light leaks, gradients, and bokeh objects.

Using physical products for reference, The Berry CGI team meticulously remodeled the mascara and eyeliner products from scratch in 3D software.

Next these models were duplicated and each model was applied with their own unique colour materials, decals and texture, creating a large digital suite of cosmetics essentially.

Once the models were textured, multiple animation scenes were created where final studio-style lighting was created for a polished look.
