Global sports company PUMA, has signed an official agreement with the Premier League, the most-watched football league globally, as part of the companyβs strategy to elevate the brand and strengthen its sports performance credibility.
To announce this groundbreaking partnership, The Berry and DUDE London ambushed Londonβs iconic Trafalgar Square; taking over the famous Lions through an animated, VFX spectacle that featured the new PUMA football! The Lionβs of Trafalgar Square, visually represented the Premier Leagueβs world-famous LION logo.
Designing the logoβ¦
On top of the announcement film, The Berry also designed a NEW Puma logo, which creatively incorporated the mane of a Lion (Premier League logo) and a crown (Premier League trophy).

Designing the logo was a delicate balance between aesthetics and functionality. The Berry explored multiple graffiti designs, before arriving at the perfect combination of PUMA meets Premier League.
The logo design needed to reflect a clear combination of two globally recognised logo designs. This wasnβt just about making the logo look good β It was about creating a meaningful branded logo, that connected with people. The graffiti-style delivered on the βlogo take-overβ section of the creative brief; allowing the logo design to feel hand-drawn, natural and intrusive.

This landmark collaboration saw video, design and OOH content creation.
Various location throughout London were taken over by The Berryβs βgraffiti-styleβ logo design.

Richard Masters, Chief Executive of the Premier League, said:
