An unbelievable opportunity provided by The Berry’s partners and friends at Saudi Motorsport Company.
The Berry Boys travelled to Ha’il, Saudi Arabia… a location famously known for it’s endless desert terrain… and perfect rally racing conditions!
An amazing team from the UK and Saudi Arabia travelled to remote parts of the Arabian Desert to produce this action-packed TVC for Dakar Rally 2023.
Race cars… helicopters… horses… desert tracking vehicles… and more… supported the cinematic storyline developed by The Berry Boys… which created huge amounts of hype ahead of Dakar 23’
Despite being entirely shot in camera, The Berry Boys wanted to elevate the visuals to add that extra element of drama. A CGI sandstorm simulation was created in Houdini to comp on top of the exciting visuals. This proved to be a great example of how VFX can be used to compliment the visuals and serve a purpose in driving a narrative forward.
