An EPIC production directed by The Berry Boys, for the inaugural Formula E race at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

A Formula E driver gets overly-confident during the race and decides to get out of the car and explore the amazing sights, sounds and experiences of Jeddah!

… and to capture this story, was an amazingly passionate crew and cast. The team took to the streets of Jeddah in a huge production, that even saw the closure of the historical town of Al Balad.

The cinematography and vibrant visuals encapsulated the deep culture of motorsports in Saudi Arabia and its fans.

Coinciding with the film production in Jeddah, The Berry’s animation team in London were developing, animating and tbh, having LOADS of fun in software… with the Gen3 race car.

Using live action footage and imagery of the Corniche Circuit at night, The Berry re-created the race track to perfection; matching the racing conditions, in CGI. The Berry’s post-production team paid meticulous attention to the positioning of floodlights, track colouring, textures and shadow direction, to ensure perfect integration of live action footage, with CGI racing shots.
