Paramount+ announce their new season of DEXTER ORIGINAL SIN with a bloody good marketing campaign…

The Berry partnered with Paramount+ to mark the release of Dexter: Original Sin in a global campaign taking over iconic landmarks across the world, mysteriously shrouded in plastic wrap.

The Berry created a suite of FOOH assets, ranging from UGC-style point-of-view footage to influencer-led versions, featuring social media stars like Instagram and TikTok favourite @aliwoodsgigs.

The campaign saw content spread across multiple platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Paramount’s own streaming social channels, as well as influencers’ pages and major news and publication sites. With its wide-reaching impact, the campaign successfully engaged millions of audiences worldwide, generating significant buzz around the series.

The CGI process utilised a range of advanced post-production techniques to bring the vision to life. Live-action footage was captured both on the Thames using a specialised filming boat and from the riverbank for the influencer-led film. This footage was then matchmoved in 3D software, allowing The Berry team to seamlessly integrate the CG cling film wrap. Created using cloth dynamics and simulated in Houdini, the wrap was brought into Cinema 4D for lighting and rendering. To enhance the final effect, the Thames was transformed into a bloody red hue through meticulous colour correction, compositing, and rotoscoping.
